1971 Honda DOHC CB450 Twin

The 1971 Honda 450 came in to our lives after my wife and I were married, moved to Sacramento and I had re-enlisted into the Air Force (August 1974). We were in a situation where we both needed transportation. I had ridden a CB450 from one of my friends a number of years earlier, and I thought for two up riding it would be a good motorcycle. After rebuilding the top end and other work, Chris and I rode it all over Sacramento. We loved riding down the old river roads towards San Francisco and into the foothills east of Sacramento. But once Chris got pregnant (I never could figure out how that happened?:-) with our first son, she decided that she did not want to ride any longer, even after our son was born.  A few months later,  I decided since I was solo anyway, I wanted something a little better in the handling department, so I sold it. We did have some great times on this bike!
