1975 Honda CB550F

Chris and I came back to the states in January 1979. I wound up stationed at England AFB in Alexandria, Louisiana. (Don't ask me how that happened, I put in for LA Air Force Station in Los Angeles CA! - A joke on me I guess! )-:   Anyway, I had to go to the base a couple of months before Chris and the boys, guess what I got the bug for? (-:  Yup! I started wanting another motorcycle. I tried talking to Chris about it, but every time I said something, she about went through the ceiling. :-(  So, I quit talking to her about it. 

About a week before her and the kids came out (they were staying in LA) one of the Airman that I knew was heading overseas and had a CB550F that needed some work and had to sell it. So I gave him $100 plus a Pentax camera for it. When Chris found out about it, (of course I forgot to tell her ;-) she wasn't too happy about it at all!  O-:   I found out later that she had hoped that I had motorcycling out of my blood after three years of no motorcycles.  Guess she was wrong!  ;-)

I had to replace the front tire and the speedo on the bike, but the few months that I had it, I rode it all over the place.
